Beauty and the Beast

Bedford–Stuyvesant, Brooklyn, November 14, 2016

"Tale as old as time
True as it can be
Barely even friends
That somebody bends
Unexpectedly..."

The trailer of the new "Beauty and the Beast" was released now and suddenly we're little girls again believing in magic and fairytales... 🌷🌷🌷

"Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is a live-action re-telling of the studio’s animated classic which refashions the classic characters from the tale as old as time for a contemporary audience, staying true to the original music while updating the score with several new songs. “Beauty and the Beast” is the fantastic journey of Belle, a bright, beautiful and independent young woman who is taken prisoner by a beast in his castle. Despite her fears, she befriends the castle’s enchanted staff and learns to look beyond the Beast’s hideous exterior and realize the kind heart and soul of the true Prince within. The film stars: Emma Watson as Belle; Dan Stevens as the Beast; Luke Evans as Gaston, the handsome, but shallow villager who woos Belle; Oscar® winner Kevin Kline as Maurice, Belle’s eccentric, but lovable father; Josh Gad as Lefou, Gaston’s long-suffering aide-de-camp; Golden Globe® nominee Ewan McGregor as Lumiere, the candelabra; Oscar nominee Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, the harpsichord; Oscar nominee Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, the mantel clock; and two-time Academy Award® winner Emma Thompson as the teapot, Mrs. Potts.

Directed by Oscar® winner Bill Condon based on the 1991 animated film, “Beauty and the Beast” is produced by Mandeville Films’ David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman with eight-time Oscar-winning composer Alan Menken, who won two Academy Awards® (Best Original Score and Best Song) for the 1991 animated film, providing the score, which will include new recordings of the original songs written by Menken and Howard Ashman, as well as several new songs written by Menken and three-time Oscar winner Tim Rice. “Beauty and the Beast” will be released in U.S. theaters on March 17, 2017."

Do we really need to wait until March??

".. Just a little change
Small, to say the least
Both a little scared
Neither one prepared
Beauty and the Beast.."

Domhnall Gleeson

My #MCM inspiration is the irish actor and writer Domhnall Gleeson. Born on May 12, 1983

He's not the tipical hollywood good looking guy but he has something that catches our attention - beyond the talent to act, of course.
Maybe is something in the way he stares or maybe is something in the way he smiles.. Maybe is his sensual taurus personality (for those who believes in astrology).
I don't know.
I only know that he's my Monday Crush because of this new Burberry film released last week.
It left me breathless and wishing for more ❤️

"The Tale of Thomas Burberry". 160 years in the making, a story inspired by the pioneering discoveries of our founder, reimagining key events that have shaped Burberry’s history.

Directed by Academy Award-winner Asif Kapadia and starring Domhnall Gleeson, Sienna Miller, Dominic West and Lily James.

Music: 'Diminuendo' performed by Lawless featuring Britt Warner

Not convinced yet? Try these movies.. (my top 3 to make you fall in love)

3 - "Ex Machina" (2015), by Alex Garland

2 - "Brooklyn" (2015), by John Crowley

Million Reasons

Brooklyn, Oct 12 (grandma's bday), 2016

You don't need a million reasons to explain why you're not here with me.
You just need one reason to stay with me.

Every heartbreak makes it hard to keep the faith

Perfect Illusion

NYC, Oct 10, 2016

She's finally back!! Lady Gaga (or mother Monster) is back in the game! And I'm already addicted to her new music and video "Perfect Illusion" >> playing on repeat mode.. 🎶🎶🎶

Something is different on her style though.. don't expect crazy outfits or short movie stories like in her old videos. I think its more rock 'n' roll this time and it's really good!

Big blonde hair > I'm trying it 💕

Desert feelings = Music Festival vibes + Mad Max scenario

watch it and keep reading..

This is the 'Burning Man' festival
I just discovered a few days ago and fell in love!

"The Event. Once a year, tens of thousands of people gather in Nevada's Black Rock Desert to create Black Rock City, a temporary metropolis dedicated to community, art, self-expression, and self-reliance." more info here

It's like living in the chaotic and post apocalyptic future created by George Miller!

Have you seen this movie? "Mad Max: Fury Road" (2015) with Charlize Theron

Awarded with 6 Oscars! Best Costume Design, Film and Sound Editing, Production Design, Sound Mixing and Makeup

The best movie released last year, in my opinion... you need to watch it! And the others too..
"Mad Max" (1979)
"Mad Max: The road worrior" (1981)
"Mad Max: Thunderdome" (1985)

Music + Craziness + Love

The perfect illusion somewhere in all the confusion!!

Plans for the weekend.. Just Dance!!
Happy Friday, dears!!

maresia..

NYC, September 29, 2016

Mais uma da série, realizando um sonho em Nova York..

So... when we met I told him I was in NY to try a career change, from Architecture to Fashion, and in the same day we just run into this good old friend of him (at Soho House!) which is a big and famous fashion stylist here! Coincidence or destiny?
I asked him to connect us and some months later, I'm proud to share our first work together.. I mean, my first work as her assistant :)

Maybe I had a little help from the stars, like I said here before.. "I believe in the power of thinking, I believe that when you really want something you send an energy that can attracts it. And the whole universe conspires in your favor."

the theme was 'navy' style = sailor hats & stripes + a touch of rock glam that made all the difference!

BROOKLYN

Hello dears!! Happy Friday!
Are you excited for the weekend?
Well.. the weather report here is saying that we're having some cold and rainy days around NYC until next week, so I'm thinking about movies & popcorn!!

And my 1st movie tip for you couldn't be different.. "Brooklyn" (2015), by John Crowley. A story of a irish girl who leaves home to live in NYC >> more specifically, Brooklyn!

It gave Saoirse Ronan an Oscar's nomination for Best Actress's Performance and it was nominated for Best Movie too.

She has a home, a job and she goes to school... but there's that homesick feeling that makes her cry every single day!

Suddenly something unexpected happens, of course! We are talking about New York and like I said here before, the city is unpredictable and cinematic!

She finds her place... a new home!

Now she needs to decide between her old home and her new home...

Are you in?

The music is cute too ♡

Beijos from Brooklyn!

Sorry!

NYC, September 16, 2016

3 months in NY already!! One thing I've been doing a lot this time here? Clubbing!

I had the pleasure to know a lot of different places, dance floors, people and music and I found out that besides the broken hearts, crazy promoters and excelent european dancers they all have another thing in common.

Everybody's excitment when the DJ plays "Sorry" (a song by Justin Bieber!).. really? Yes, really. There's no one who doesn't know the lyrics and sing along out and loud. Including me!

So it got me thinking... what it this all about?

Do all these people need to be forgiven for something? Are we afraid to ask for apologize? Or we're waiting for someone's sorry for been treating us badly?

"Sorry for been here having fun while you're at home sleeping"?

"Sorry for dating a lot of people for no especific reason, just because I can"?

If it's so difficult to say "I'm sorry" why we're causing the reason to say it in the first place? Why we have the necessity of hurting each other?

Maybe I'm wrong and this is just a big trip of my wasted mind!

After drinking all the Cosmopolitans of the bar we start feeling needy and crazy, don't you think?

Don't worry about it. Today is Friday! There's another party to attend (or a lot of them).. another place to go and more intersting people to meet :)

Sorry!
